Good things come in small packages?

So after a long, long hiatus from blogging, I decided to give it another go.  Also given that Christmas is just around the corner and my cousin is due to have a new baby girl in a couple of weeks, I wanted to try my hand at crocheting some festive little baby booties!

These booties were surprisingly very quick and easy to make.  To add an extra bit of flair, I did a surface slip stitch with a gold speckled white yarn around the top and finished them off with a bow.  They ended up a bit big for a newborn, but I’m sure she’ll grow into them soon.

I really like how cute these little booties came out.  I don’t think the picture quite does them justice.  Maybe I’ll try enlarging the pattern to make a pair that fit myself, hehe.  If you’d like to make these yourself, you can find the free pattern I used, “Basic Baby Booties,” on!
